We have succeeded in giving out scholarships to over 100 children across 4 communities in Delta State Nigeria. Our scholarships cover the beneficiaries from primary to tertiary level of education. The chairman and his team of trustees also go on periodic visits to our beneficiaries across different schools to ensure they are well taught and well taken care of, giving them advice and gifts like school bags, shoes, etc. Onyeoma Emmanuel Help Foundation also ensures we have a healthy community and a healthy nation as a whole by providing health care insurance which is coming up in 2024 and a 2 days medical outreach in 2 communities in Delta State which takes place in October, 2024.

Our Approach

This will also help us in tackling issues of child abandonment. We also renovated town halls in ekuku Agbor and other communities to ensure that , meetings, and other community events are carried out without hassles. Also, we embark on women empowerment to foster gender equality and health care missions to help solve the problem of healthcare in our communities.

Education Sector

it is important to note that education in Nigeria is currently at an all time low and this boils down to some factors, one of which is negligence of traditional education. According to C.O. Duze, “… the falling standard of education in Nigeria could be Linked also to the lost glories of traditional education which Includes among other things, the very important values of hardwork, deligence, integrity and high productivity. When these are lacking in any production system, education inclusive, The results are often devastating…” Knowing that the standard of education in Nigeria is not where it should be, we at ONYEOMA EMMANUEL HELP FOUNDATION have taken it upon ourselves to ensure we do our part to strengthen education in Nigeria by organizing extra classes for our beneficiaries, and employing competent teachers to handle their needs In the classroom and beyond. We have also taken it upon ourselves to provide basic needs like school uniforms, sandals, books, and giving moral support on a regular basis to our children by visiting them regularly to see how they are holding up and to help them in any way possible.

Health

The life expectancy average in Nigeria is 55.1 years, according to the Bureau of Statistics. Also, child mortality rate as at 2020 was said to be around 531 deaths per 100,000 live births. Other health challenges have threatened the existence of the Nigerian people and children and adults have died from curable diseases. In order to curb these health issues, we have come up with a health insurance that caters to 3,000 people across three communities in which we have carried out our outreach. Our aim is to cover the whole of Nigeria, thereby reducing the rate of child mortality and increasing life expectancy in Nigeria.

Women/Youths Empowerment

The rate of youth unemployment is Nigeria is high. Nigerian youths unemployment had surged to 5.0% from 4.2% in the last quarter of 2023. Because of the rate of unemployment, there is also high number of people who live in poverty. Women are also underemployed and for this reason, we are determined to empower women and youths in various communities in Nigeria and therefore, help to reduce poverty in Nigeria. Together, we will empower more women and youths in our communities and help alleviate poverty in Nigeria.

Onyeoma Emmanuel Help Foundation Meeting With Sponsors In Philippines

As individuals, at the dawn of a new year we ought to take out time to review the activities of the previous year and draft out plans to further improve on ourselves, set new goals and even move our former threshhold a bit further. This we did together with our sponsors at Philippines, providing report for assessments on how well we did in 2022 so we can do even more good in the society. We re-strategized our approach to bring happiness to one child at a time.

Onyeoma Emmanuel Help Foundation is fully devoted to its course and will continue as much as GOD gives us strength to be a blessing to others.
